Primary Responsibility :The Sr. Data Governance Specialist (DGS) manages Americold's Master Data environment including Chart of Accounts, Customer, Vendor, Item and Employee domains. The DGS will build the organization, processes and refresh current master data during the global Oracle Fusion implementation, then after successful Go Live will act as gatekeeper to maintain "clean" data in compliance with Americold standards. The DGS performs tasks required to monitor, create, edit and educate employees concerning enterprise master data.What You'll Do :
•   Performs tasks related to master data management:
•   Supports initiation of requests for creation, update, or change to master data.
•   Executes changes to master data as approved by business review process including requests to create, change, extend, block/unblock, activate/deactivate, or otherwise modify master data.
•   Executes mass update requests as required.
•   Supports business review processes as appropriate.
•   Manages data requests within agreed "Turnaround Time" (Service Level Agreement).
•   Reacts to escalation notices to expedite creation or change to master data as needed.
•   Performs "logic" review to catch errors in defined global data fields and escalates or remediates errors.
•   Decides to reject or syndicate creation, update or change to master data What Experience and Education You Need :
•   5-8 years progressive experience as Data Governance Specialist.
•   Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business Systems, Business Administration, or related experience preferred.
•   Knowledge of department functions, processes, terminology, and interrelationships of data types such as: Material (Procurement, Supply Chain, AR, AP, Customer Support); Vendor (Procurement, Supply Chain, AP, Customer Support); and/or Customer (AR, Finance, Sales & Mktg, Customer Support): Finance & Accounting (Chart of Accounts - Legal Entity, Account, Cost Center, etc.). What Could Set You Apart :
•   Experience in Oracle Master Data Management (MDM) preferred.
•   Experience in related industry preferred.
•   Strong knowledge of system best practices and methodologies.
•   Demonstrated project management, planning, task organizing, and execution skills.
•   Basic computer proficiency including MS Office.

•   Requires the ability to relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions: must partner with colleagues without exhibiting behavioral extremes
