Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
2. Conduct ongoing process constraint analyses.
3. Report on margins by product and division.
4. Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances.
5. Analyze capital budgeting requests.
6. Perform cost accumulation tasks as a member of the target costing group.
7. Coordinate with IT department for system issues, maintenance and development such as production, purchasing, import/export, accounts payable, accounts receivable, import/export IT, receiving, shipping, and IT.
8. Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive budgeting and forecasting system.
9. Use advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas, to streamline and improve financial analysis processes.
10. Manage financial transactions and records using QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. 3+ years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
3. Proficient in MS Excel including creating pivot tables, complex formulas, and financial modeling.
4. Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
5. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, practices and standards.
6. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
7. Demonstrated ability to streamline and automate complex reporting tasks.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to clearly explain financial data to non-financial colleagues.
9. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
