Sr Construction Inspector

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Inspector. Your primary responsibilities will involve conducting inspections, overseeing field operations, and providing technical guidance to junior technicians.

Responsibilities:

Technicians are responsible for proper documentation and review of construction procedures and test results

Field inspection and quality control of masonry construction

Foundation construction observations / inspections

Inspection of concrete placement and concrete curing

Plant inspection for pre-manufactured products

Post-tensioning and reinforcing steel inspection

Soil compaction testing and inspection

Steel fabrication inspection and erection and fastener inspection

Weld inspection and testing

Conduct on-site inspections of construction materials including reinforced concrete, soils, structural steel, and masonry.

Perform quality control tests on materials to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Supervise and mentor junior technicians in field operations, providing guidance and support as needed.

Collaborate with project managers and engineers to address any material-related issues and provide technical recommendations.

Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, test results, and recommendations for corrective actions.

Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with external stakeholders such as contractors and clients to facilitate smooth project execution.

Stay updated on industry best practices, standards, and emerging technologies related to construction materials testing and inspection.

Qualification/Certifications:

ACI or ICC Certifications (will be trained if not already certified):

ACI - Concrete Field Testing Technician

ICC - Structural Masonry Certification

ICC - Structural Steel / Welding Certification

High school or equivalent (Required)

Driver's License (Required)
