Title: Sr Business Analyst (Banking/Finance & Mortgage/Credit Cards)
Location: Tampa, FL
Duration: 10+ Months
Description:
- As part of Client's multi-billion dollar Consent Order related remediation plan, a Management Reporting and Escalation Platform from which various "Risk Applications" have been built. These include Limit & Threshold Breaches, Event (Incident & Concern) Escalation & Key Risk Indicator Lifecycles
- The underlying core system comprises a low code/ no code flexible workflow builder (proprietary) with out of a box Dashboard, Workflow, Reporting, Audit trail, and other functionality built around Java, JBPM, and Angular technologies
- The system continues to expand with increased functionality and more risk applications coming on board
- We are seeking a Senior BA who understands the Financial Services business and has a good technical background. However, this is not a pure Tech BA role, the candidate should have a well-rounded CV with a limited focus on building specific product lines e.g. mortgages, credit cards, etc.
Daily Duties:
- Interact with business users to elicit business & tech requirements including
- Determination of business requirements based on critical thinking in line with the Tech Product owner's vision for the program
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of users from a multitude of disciplines
- Ability to guide Developers and QA teams in the interpretation of business requirements and their translation to Technical requirements
- Creation and review of JIRA stories for each build
- Work with Businesses in prioritization of stories
- Perform Scrum Master role if capable/ trained (approx. 2 hours each day) in leading one of the 4 Scrum teams
- Develop a bi-monthly Demo deck for Business Stakeholders
- Aid in the development of the strategic vision as well as the execution of that vision
Preferred candidate will have:
- Detailed knowledge of eliciting information writing user stories and documenting in JIRA
- Understanding of AGILE methodology
- Good listening skills
- Long-dated, periods of either contracting or FT employment at Institutions/ Companies.
- Business knowledge regarding Limit & Threshold Breach Management, Risk Appetite Statement, Loss Capture, RCSA, and Reporting (Board and Senior Cttee) is a positive
- 10+ years experience within similar roles in Financial Institutions (Business Analyst)
- Exposure to Risk or Finance a bonus in a Financial Services client
