Job Purpose
As an Automotive Specialist, part of the New Business Venture team, you will function as a technical resource for internal and external customers, possessing advanced level knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostic techniques, repair procedures, and overall product familiarity supporting quality improvement and customer satisfaction. This includes conducting support calls via a video You will work closely with several departments to be the voice of our mechanical expert community. Additionally, you will operate as a Brand Ambassador as our mechanical expert at external events. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years hands on experience in the automotive industry as a mechanic, is ASE certified, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a willingness to wear many hats, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will report directly to the Head of Operations.
Key Accountabilities
• Participate in video content creation on the App product. Be in the videos or work with the team in designing the content and signs off for the final production
• Create reference materials and guides for our most frequently requested issues, car types, and projects
• Provide expert technical support to our customers to assist in the diagnosis and repair of their automobiles
• Review expert technician calls and assess them for quality
• Conduct vetting calls with expert technician applicants
• Travel to car events and operate as the expert brand ambassador
• Participate and lead event activities with car enthusiasts and technicians - drive additional customer engagement
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree, automotive technical school degree, or equivalent work-related experience.
- ASE certified or equivalent experience
Minimum Experience:
- Extensive automotive technical experience & trouble shooting skills required
- 5+ years of auto mechanic experience
- 2+ years of experience creating technical user guides and operating instructions.
