Sr Associate Systems Engineer with Security Clearance

Overview VTG is seeking a motivated Systems Engineer familiar with design, implementation, and testing of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) systems and capable of performing all facets of engineering. The candidate must be a self-starter who thrives under limited supervision. This position is located in Manassas, VA. This will be a hybrid position that requires to be in office 2-3 times a week. What will you do? Develop system requirements from source documentation and Statements of Work Work with customer to understand and implement system requirements Assist in the development/modifications of System Architectures based on changes/refresh of system components Provide direction to the software developer on implementation of system requirements Provide the design team with engineering assessments associated with the redesign of COTs hardware. Understand Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and application of test requirements to overall system performance Develop and document Test strategies, processes and procedures. Provide input to program leadership in resolution of design issues during all project phases Conduct bench testing on hardware components at the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) level using test equipment and SIM/STIM to ensure PCB design is in accordance with the drawing/schematic Interface with customer to execute the sell-off of components in a laboratory environment Do you have what it takes? Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering 2+ years of System Engineering experience Articulate, excellent presentation skills. Successful completion of background check Desired Qualifications/Skills/Abilities: 2+ years of Agile development experience Experience in Mil-STD equipment design and test Understanding of PCB design and test Active SECRET clearance This position is contingent upon contract award
