Responsibilities Peraton is seeking a Sr. Agile Coach to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Day to Day Work Responsibilities: Works on technology-based projects using Agile methodologies in collaboration with other systems divisions.
Collaborates with developers and customers daily during agile projects.
Provides business and systems analysis support for projects collaborating with customers and developers to identify, define, interpret, and clarify scope of problems/issues in terms of business/systems requirements and processes.
In agile projects, facilitates and drives requirements clarifications via standard techniques such as lean driven task/workflow analysis to identify epics and breakdown epics into stories with acceptance test criteria to be used to drive iterations.
Assures all documented requirements and acceptance test criteria are transparent to the whole team.
On agile projects during "swarming", be open to taking on new tasks to bring the team back on track.
Elicits and documents requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis.
Conducts systems analysis to determine data needs and technical recommendations.
Leads the application testing process to verify business and systems requirements are met through development of acceptance test criteria and validating those criteria in the system.
Hands on leading/facilitating the execution of all test cases and sharing of the test results and trends.
Owns the creation and management of project artifacts for the client's Systems Development Methodology, Agile Methodology and/or other team deliverables.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Writing/eliciting Epics and decomposing them into User Stories sized appropriately for the iteration.
Recognizing and using common repeatable patterns to estimate epics and/or stories.
Creating acceptance test criteria and managing the end-to-end testing process.Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 8 years experience or Master's degree with 6 years experience or HS Diploma/equivalent and 12 years experience
U.S. Citizenship required; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Experience working in Agile environments, preferably in roles such as Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Agile Project Manager.
Deep understanding of Agile principles and practices, as well as various frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and SAFe.
Experience coaching teams and individuals on Agile practices, facilitating workshops, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and inspire teams to adopt Agile practices and mindset.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Experience in organizational transformation and change management
Ability to assess team dynamics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance team performance and collaboration.
Familiarity with Agile tools and techniques for project management, collaboration, and tracking (e.g., Jira, Trello, Kanban boards).
Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Agile and Lean methodologies.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address challenges and obstacles encountered during Agile transformations.Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Agile methodologies such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC).
Target Salary Range $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
