We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Real Estate Finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment where team collaboration, passion, and hard work are part of our daily lives. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for performing a variety of financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, building financial models, assisting with financial planning, analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring appropriate financial control procedures in the real estate sector.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

2. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.

3. Perform account reconciliations and analyses, prepares budget and forecasts, addresses inconsistencies and provides recommendations for improvements.

4. Responsible for the accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliation functions.

5. Prepare and submit tax returns ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.

6. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.

7. Conduct regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation activities.

8. Collaborate with external auditors, providing crucial support during audits.

9. Develop and implement financial trend reports to help improve forecasting accuracy and departmental performance.

10. Recommend financial actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the real estate industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Financial Reporting, Accounting, Financial Analysis, General Ledger, Account Reconciliation, Forecasting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Financial Statements, Budgeting, Tax Preparation.
  • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong in Excel.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects.
