The Squeak and Rattle Engineer is part of the Vehicle Engineering NVH team and will be responsible for leading air leakage throughout the phases of the Ford vehicle design and development process.

In this position
This is a hands-on role working with the actual vehicles, fixing issues before the vehicles go out to the customers.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead squeak and rattle attribute through analytical development phases by working with respective functional engineering teams to meet requirements
  • On-site, hands-on root cause of vehicle level squeak and rattle issues found during prototype development and work with respective functional engineering teams to resolve
  • Work with respective functional engineering activities to document lessons learned

Additional position duties:
  • Develop and execute appropriate design verification plan
  • Clearly communicate issues with management teams
  • As needed, provide direct support for vehicle quality actions
  • As needed, provide support for cost saving evaluations

Qualifications

You'll have
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 6 months+ experience with CAD based system visualization (internship, co-op, and/or coursework considered)

Even better, you may have
  • Masters Degree in Engineering
  • 3DExperience or Teamcenter Visualization experience
  • Head Acoustics Artemis or LMS experience
  • 3 years experience in Vehicle Engineering, Squeak and Rattle, or Automotive part design
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills

This position is a range of salary grades SG6 - SG8 .
