Our Data Sciences Institute (DSI) is made up of colleagues who harness the insight of data and digital to speed the development of highly innovative treatments to patients. These scientists (from statistics, programming, outcomes research and epidemiology, quantitative clinical pharmacology, digital strategy, library sciences and data architecture/governance, and more) bring their expertise to our global program teams and re-imagine our disciplines. They work with novel data streams, including real-world data and digital tools, and apply advanced analytics including artificial intelligence and automation.


As part of DSI, the Statistics and Quantitative Sciences (SQS) at Takeda is looking to add individuals to our team that are team oriented, collaborative, strong understanding of the statistical programming function, exceptional leaders, and innovators. SQS aspires to bring safe and effective medications to the patients with our quantitative skills. We design efficient trials, contribute to clinical development strategies, perform high quality statistical analyses, and pursue operational excellence.


Accountabilities:

  • Serve as a liaison for SQS Head, management team, and SQS to assist with appropriate calendar coordination activities to enable execution.
  • Independently support execution of SQS strategic plans, projects and commitments which drive operational efficiencies and connectivity within SQS pillars
  • Lead, support, initiate, and/or execute on key SQS projects/activities.
  • Lead planning of SQS and collaborate with the planning of DSI organizational meetings with strategic agendas and ensure the rhythm of business within SQS is aligned with R&D.
  • Develop and execute strategies to ensure business projects, milestones and policies are completed in a timely manner.
  • Synthesize complex information to ensure alignment with overall direction of the SQS organization.
  • Facilitate organizational planning and implementation activities within SQS to increase efficiencies related to budget and resources.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems within Takeda processes and systems
  • Apply expertise with Project Management and Change Management

Education & Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or science related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, assisting with/managing cross-functional projects in a business environment
  • Demonstrated experience in people or matrix/team environment
  • A bility to foster teamwork by actively participating in and supporting an environment that cultivates professional growth and organizational effectiveness
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with senior management
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel & Word

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$96,600.00 - $151,800.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.


U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
