Speech Language Pathologist

Sunterra Springs Independence is proud to announce a full time Speech Language Pathologist position. This is a hybrid position, our SLP would work between our Home Health division as well as our SNF. Our SLP will enjoy a generous hourly salary of $40-$50 an hour in addition to a $65-$70 per visit payment for each Home Health visit completed.

We're excited to offer our therapists an opportunity to deliver patient centered care. We empower therapists to decide what their patients need, and allow enough time in their day to deliver. There are no 15 minute encounters, we do not schedule at 125% production, and we encourage our therapists to spend the time to ensure each patient receives the care they require.

Our Speech Language Pathologist would be responsible for the following:
Evaluating levels of swallowing, speech and language difficulty
Identifying treatment options
Creating and carrying out individualized treatment plans addressing specific functional needs
Teaching patients how to make sounds while improving their voices and maintaining fluency
Helping individuals improve sentence structure and vocabulary used in written and oral language
Working with patients in developing and strengthening muscles used to swallow

Sunterra Springs is a 38-bed skilled nursing facility across the street from Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri. The skilled nursing staff consists of trained professionals that are prepared to provide extraordinary care for even the most complex health conditions.
