Specialty Laboratory Technologist

Duties:

Major Duties:Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, and Coagulation, and knowledge of Blood Bank.Must be proficient in the performance of manual differentials, cell counts on body fluids, and urine microscopy.Must perform Quality control and maintenance procedures as required. Performs other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.

Education:

NYS Licensed Medical Technologist, BS Degree in Science, ASCP preferred

Languages:

English( Speak, Read, Write )

Certifications & Licenses:

ASCP, NCA or MT Certification

Skills:

Must possess vast knowledge of blood bank procedures, as well as Chemistry, HematologyProficient in performing manual differentials, and fluid cell count differentials, urine microscopy
