Summary

This position will support a newly launched program, CPI 3.0, at our Association and will serve as a member of the Education unit that implements efforts to support organizational priorities and activities within the Certifications Department. Supports unit efforts with a focus on departmental contributions to education and ongoing assessment strategy for the Association. Assists department colleagues with carrying out efforts to meet objectives on organizational priorities with a focus on departmental contributions to education and certification strategy for the Association. Supports operational needs for appointed and member volunteer groups and APTA leadership. Provides support with data entry as appropriate including compliance documents. Seeks out and supports and opportunities for continuous quality improvement in department activities. Effective champion of the Association vision, mission, and brand.

Essential Functions

  • Provide general program administrative oversight and support, including participating and supporting preparation of compliance requirements and documents;
  • Assure adherence to program and system requirements;
  • Serve as primary liaison to CPI 3.0 contracted vendor team.
  • Oversee promotional and marketing initiatives for the program.
  • Seeking out opportunities for continuous quality improvement in department activities, and CPI 3.0 specifically.
  • Prepares required compliance forms and documents as required including, when applicable and appropriate, handling refunds and accounts payable requests.
  • Provides support of the operations, marketing and promotional efforts, including opportunities to advance and gain efficiencies.
  • Supports the Certifications team in the implementation of the programs, priorities, and projects in partnership with the Association and staff colleagues.
  • Prepares, in consultation with the Manager, data which supports and aligns with the APTA data strategy and volunteer nominations process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's required
  • 3+ years of experience working in a non-profit, association or business setting
  • Project management skills
  • Must be highly organized and experienced in handling a variety of projects with proven abilities in prioritizing deadlines and seeing projects to completion
  • Strong computer/database experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively - written and verbal
