As a member of the Advancement & Foundation office, this position monitors grant activities' implementation, reporting, and closeout. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure the goals and objectives of the grant are achieved. Closely follows internal grant tracking processes and ensures compliance with deadlines. Works with the advancement team during events and fundraisers. Note: This is a union position. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Performs primary receptionist duties (answering phones, greeting visitors, directing calls, etc.) Maintains files (both electronic and hard copy) Data entry Maintains confidential and sensitive information Processes requisitions Works with budgets Coordinates and attends meetings as appropriate; prepares and distributes minutes Interface with college-restricted software systems Supervisory duties (Student Workers) Manipulates data in college-restricted software systems Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Communicating with all stakeholders - providing information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work - Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships - Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time Identify Objects, Actions, and Events - Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events Oral Expression - Talking to others to convey information effectively Written Expression - Communicating effectively in writing appropriately for the audience's needs Required Qualifications Associate's degree from an accredited institution in a business-related field, plus four years office work experience or five years of office management experience. Assessments or acceptable certification for the appropriate level of Microsoft Office skills will be required. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with the Illinois Community College System, community college setting, and other state/federal/private grant funding agencies Experience in education or human services setting Excellent verbal and written communication skills Grant reporting and grant data collection experience Fundraising and event planning experience Deadline to Apply: Open Until Filled Type of Position: Full-time; Operational; Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday Salary: $18.00 - $19.44 per hour Complete a John A.
