Join us as a Permanent Special Education Teacher and become a part of a dynamic and dedicated team committed to making a significant difference in the lives of children with special needs. This is a unique opportunity to use your specialized skills to help students overcome challenges and reach their full potential. As a Permanent Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a flexible program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth. You will have the chance to work closely with students, their families, and other professionals, providing a holistic approach to teaching that addresses each student's individual needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
2. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment for students.
3. Use a variety of instructional strategies, techniques, and resources to ensure that each student's educational, social, and emotional needs are met.
4. Assess students' abilities, provide regular feedback on their progress, and adapt teaching methods to meet their changing needs.
5. Create a positive, structured learning environment that promotes student engagement, self-advocacy, and independence.
6. Participate in professional development activities to stay current with research and best practices in special education.
7. Advocate for the rights and needs of students with special needs within the school and broader community.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 1+ years of experience in special needs education or related.
2. Must possess a valid California Teaching Credential.
3. Moderate/Severe Teaching Credential required.
4. Must hold California Special Education Teaching Credentials.
5. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective IEPs.
6. Strong knowledge of current special education practices and methodologies.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
8. Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively, creating a positive and inclusive environment.
9. Commitment to continuing education and staying current with research and best practices in special education.
10. Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude, with a passion for helping students with special needs succeed.
