Special Education Teacher

Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.

Location: Kansas City, KS
Job Type: FullTime - 37.5 hours per week

Caseload: Elementary -ED/BD

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reading instruction and general/special education teaching.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with parentsand specialists to develop and implement IEP's tailored to each student's unique needs.
Plan and deliver instruction tailored to the diverse needs of their students.
Provide specialized instruction in academic subjects such as reading, writing, math, and other areas based on the students' IEP goals.
Assess students' progress regularly using various assessment tools and techniques and adjust instruction accordingly.
Maintain open communication with parents, providing updates on student progress, concerns, and soliciting input on their child's education and support needs.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Special Education or a related field required.
SPED Certification in Kansasrequired.
Able to pass a background check and drug testrequired.
