Special Education Teacher

Our client a Preschool has an immediate need for a Special Education Teacher

Type: Contract

Location: Bronx

Qualifications:

• Baccalaureate Degree

• New York State Teaching Certificate-Special Education

• Minimum of one year teaching experience with special needs children in an early childhood and/or special education setting or minimum two years as a Teacher Assistant

• 2 yrs of Pediatrics experience required

• An ability and willingness to train and supervise teacher aides in appropriate presentation of instruction and consecution of student behavior. Ability to model appropriate classroom behavior.

• Sensitivity to the communication, academic, and social needs of students with developmental disabilities at all levels of independence
