Welcome to the new way of work. The new way to teach, specialize, and love your field. Thrive Therapies Group was founded by teachers and clinicians to serve students with disabilities in our schools. We partner with mission-aligned education organizations to provide highly trained special education teachers and clinicians to do our field's most important and challenging work.
Teachers accepted to this cohort will participate in our research-driven professional training program, which includes a 5-day July training and quarterly sessions. Experts from top-ranked institutions and national research organizations will facilitate training and mentorship.
Applicants accepted into the program will select their teaching placement among our partner schools and organizations (yes, you choose) and have open access to our range of expert mentors and community of practice groups. You are a specialist, and we treat you as such by providing a rich community of like-minded professionals.
Requirements: - Current, active teacher license in TX , with special education endorsement or certification - Must be a resident of Houston or able to commute to a school in Houston. - At least 2 years of experience serving as the case manager for students with disabilities - Demonstrated track record of supporting students in meeting their IEP goals - Experience in facilitating individual, small, and large group instruction - Proven results in investing students in goals, progress monitoring toward those goals, and celebrating successes - Successful partnership with families and caregivers - Articulated strategies for collaboration with general education teachers, related service providers, school staff, and leaders
