Special Education Instructional Health Assistant

This position is for the school year. Bernheim Middle is looking for a caring, hard working, team oriented candidate to work in our MSD special education program. The position is for 6.5 hours per day and 170 instructional days, 4 holidays, 7 planning days and 2 extended days for at total of 183 days per year. Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date. (Considered full time with benefits - see below) Must have 48 semester hours, an Associates Degree or have a high school diploma and have passed the paraeducator assessment exam. Must provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire. Step 0: $14.85 Step 10: $18.28 New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE: It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.) Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year long contract and divided by the number of reamining paychecks. This position is considered a ten month employee on the pay schedule. 4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June. Please see payroll schedule at link below for pay dates.
