Job Description: Performs a variety of tasks related to cleaning, decontamination, assembly, sterilization and distribution of equipment, instrumentation and supplies required by medical, nursing and paramedical personnel for the care, diagnosis and treatment of patients. Serves as a resource and mentor to new staff. Takes charge when assigned. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience Position requires two (2) years of Sterile Processing experience and/or surgical experience. Licensure, Certification, Registration CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician). Language Skills Effective communication and ability to read and understand oral and written instructions. Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information. Basic computer skills (including email, basic internet use, entry and retrieval of information). Ability to follow detailed instructions, organizes complicated technical assignments, work well under pressure and maintain confidentiality. Requires the ability to recognize problem situations and refer them to the appropriate staff member. Preferred Requirements Education Associate's Degree. Experience More than (2) years of Sterile Processing experience and/or surgical experience. Licensure, Certification, Registration CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician).
