Sous Chef

The Buttonwood Grill of Peddler's Village is in search of an experienced culinary leader to join our team as a Sous Chef. Our Sous Chefs are responsible for supporting the Executive Chef to help lead the culinary team to deliver high-quality, great tasting food and exceptional guest service. Our Sous Chefs are hands on and supervise and coordinate activities of the culinary team.
Requirements:

Ability to assume responsibility for kitchen in absence of Executive Chef
Ensure all menu items are executed properly, by working the line, expo and/or overseeing the team
Ensure proper food safety and sanitation procedures are followed
Strong passion for culinary excellence
Proven ability to develop and lead a team
Knowledge of systems, methods and processes that contribute to great execution
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
2+ years supervisory experience in a high volume restaurant environment.
