VuePoint Diagnostics is a fast-growing mobile diagnostic company seeking a Sonographer in our Montgomery area. The Sonographer provides mobile ultrasound services to a variety of community healthcare settings, including nursing facilities, assisted living and senior care communities, private residences and many other settings reporting to the Area Manager.

This is a great opportunity to work independently outside of the traditional four walls of a hospital or practice. You will be part of the growing trend of bringing diagnostic imaging services out to the community so patients can remain safely at home.

Expectations:

  • Complete all exams that are assigned, in a timely manner.
  • Prepares patient for procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
  • Maintains production and quality of ultrasounds by following established standards and procedures; observing ultrasound results; making necessary adjustments.
  • Complete all paperwork for exams within a 24 hour window to turn into the billing department.
  • Keeping all paperwork, equipment, & vehicles organized and neat.
  • Maintains ultrasound supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; informing supervisor of supplies needs.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. All technologists are responsible for staying up-to-date on licensure.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and policies issued by Vuepoint Diagnostics.
  • Documents patient care services by noting all necessary information in RIS. Also, passing along any important information to your assigned supervisor.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements:

  • ARDMS or ARRT registry, vascular and general required, ECHO a plus
  • Minimum 1 year previous experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
  • Valid Driver's License and maintains driving record in good standing.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to ensure confidentiality of all patients and other relevant information under HIPAA Guidelines

The employee is required to sit and/or drive for long periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
