Sonographer

Position: Sonographer (Ultrasound Tech) Dept. Medical Imaging Location: Hospital Position Type: Casual/On-Call Hours/Pay Period: as needed, as available We are looking for a Casual/On-Call Ultrasound Tech to join our practice. This position produces two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs, using ultrasound equipment, for use by physician in diagnosis of disease and study of organs. Selects equipment for use in ultrasound setup according to specifications of examination. Selects transducer and adjusts equipment controls according to area to be examined, depth of field, and other specifications of test. Keys test data and patient information into computer of ultrasound equipment to maintain record of test results. Moves transducer, by hand, over specified area of body and observes sound wave display screen to monitor quality of ultrasonic pattern produced. Qualifications: Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS). Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and VT certifications also required. Current BLS certification Knowledge of Windows-based computer systems EMR experience helpful; Excellian knowledge a plus. Maintains professionalism while possessing an excellent customer service skillset and great communication skills Adheres to patient privacy at all times Schedule: Candidate would be considered Casual/On-Call. Hours vary as needed and as available. Casual staff will take part in our Catch Call rotation that also includes unrestricted call w/ a holiday rotation. Casual staff are required to work a minimum of one scheduled shift every 90 days.
