JOB INFORMATION Job Title: Solid Surface Finisher Builder I Job Code: 451700 Date Revised: 01/23/2023 Approved Date: 01/23/2023 Job Family: Stone and Steel Production FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Work Location: Mesa, AZ Career Level: PRODUCTION (PROD-1) JOB PURPOSE The Solid Surface Finisher Builder I is responsible for the fabrication and reworking of solid surface sink materials and other manmade stone products while maintaining all quality standards and ensuring all tools are properly maintained. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Fabricate standard styles, sizes and basic colors of solid surface sinks per print and drawing specifications while maintaining standard build times per capacity plan. Perform quality checks to ensure full compliance of all manufacturing standards and customer specifications. Check and verify cosmetic and dimensional tolerances are true and accurate. Capable of repairing minor non-conformance issues. Inspect and perform preventative maintenance (PM s) on tools and equipment to ensure they are dependable, reliable and in safe working condition. Document and maintain all established quality standards and procedures. Maintain inventory levels of all consumable materials, equipment, and tools used in the solid surface sink assembly department. Notify management of any outstanding issues. Maintain positive working relationships with team members while communicating with other departments as needed to support the production plan and schedule. Participate in cross training opportunities with other departments when possible. Identify and recommend safety, quality and productivity initiatives through department team meetings, engineering, and or production manager. Provide feedback and recommend process improvement ideas of solid surface procedures. Other duties and responsibilities as required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Familiar with Corian, Granite, Quartz and other manmade stone materials. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, drawing, print , or diagram format. Capable of using a variety of hand tools, solid surface manufacturing equipment and materials. General computer skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED Ability to assist and support the team in maintaining department production plans and schedules. Can work positively and collaborate with team members. Be a team player. Capable of collaborating with various departments and employees within the organization.
