Introduction
Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Solder Assembler position located in Orlando, FL. This position is a contract to direct hire opportunity which is expected to be on-site for a duration of three months at which time the client may extend a direct hire offer, depending on performance.
Summary
The Solder Assembler will be responsible for assembling electrical, electronic and mechanical assemblies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Description:
- Able to read and follows procedures exactly as written.
- Continues to follows Good Manufacturing Practices (2D0-1004) including STEP-C
- Understands all aspects of Sn63 solder assembly including
- Thru-hole components
- Surface mount chips 0402 and larger
- Must recognize J-STD-001 standard regarding materials, methods, and acceptance criteria for producing solder electrical and electronic assemblies
- Full understanding of ESD procedures
- Use of hand tools such as torque tools, calipers, wire stripping, tinning pots, vacuum ovens, etc.
- Capable of performing tin and wick operations for gold mitigation
