The Opportunity: When a user tries new sof tware, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful sof tware development - and that means rigorous testing. That's why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test sof tware and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best sof tware possible. As a test engineer on our team, you'll lead your team as they work with sof tware engineers and aviation SMEs to evaluate sof tware developed for U.S. Air Force and Joint DoD organizations. You'll oversee the building of a test plan with test cases based on user stories. Using automated and manual testing processes and procedures, you'll generate data and execute the test cases to see how the sof tware performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. You'll automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor the health of the sof tware and capabilities integrated into the architecture. This is an opportunity to share your skills with a team as they write the code to test the code. You'll also broaden your team's experience in testing sof tware designed for deployment on operational airframes while exploring new areas such as DevSecOps and Machine Learning that will benefit you, your team, and your client. You Have: 9+ years of experience with leading the design and execution of sof tware test plans, procedures, scenarios, and scripts according to provided requirements 4+ years of experience with leading testing efforts for modern APIs, Web applications, or Cloud engineering 3+ years of experience with CI / CD pipelines in a DevSecOps environment Experience with testing te chn iques and test tools Knowledge of both SW and HW integration te chn iques Ability to analyze test results, detect issues, and track root causes Ability to write and maintain te chn ical documents, including test plans and test reports Ability to manage a technical team and effectively collaborate with developers, customers, and leadership TS/SCI clearance Bachelor's degree Nice If You Have: Experience with Agile development methodologies and SDLC Experience with writing and executing test automation scripts Experience with industry-standard tools, including Sonarqube, Anchore, Twistlock, or Je nk ins Knowledge of modern programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, and Python Knowledge of virtual and cloud computing te chn ologies, including VMWare, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS Knowledge of U.S. Air Force Test and Evaluation methodologies Knowledge of Platform One's "Big Bang" offering Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with little or no guidance Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS/SCI clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
