Occam Solutions is seeking a talented, hardworking Software Engineer that will support our team in Hawaii. About the role: The Software Engineer will be responsible for creating next generation web-based and desktop applications designed to enhance user interface with tools and capabilities created by the DST. Responsibilities:
• Design, prototype, develop, and implement applications using Web programming technologies to include but not limited to: JavaScript, HTML, HTMLS, and CSS.
• Work with DST Data Analysts, Data Integrators, Data Scientists, and Database Engineers to create, troubleshoot, and recommend appropriate user interface capabilities.
• Work with DST members and customers to enhance user experience and implementation requirements. Must Have demonstrated experience and proficiency in the following: Javascript, Jquery, Angular, Bootstrap R, Python, SQL and GO Other UI framework may be an acceptable substitute. Spring Boot, Java Jenkins, Git tools Building prototypes in HTML or PowerPoint. CI/CD pipeline; automated code builds & testing, and deployments. Working in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment Must possess strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills. 7 years' experience with modern Web technology stack. 4 years of experience with web application development using JavaScript frameworks, HTML, C5S, and similar web programming technologies. Experience with Restful APls, relational databases, and cross browser compatibility troubleshooting techniques. Desired, but not mandatory: OpenShift Artifactory Automate testing (i.e., JMeter, Selenium, Robot Framework) Wildfly, Keycloak. STIG hardening.
