Genesis10 is seeking a Cloud Application Deployment Specialist (Banking/Finance) for a remote 12-month contract position with a Financial Services client in Cleveland, OH. This role pays $60-80 /hour W2 based on experience. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Application Deployment Specialist with a strong background in on-premises to cloud migration, particularly within the banking or finance sector. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements in the financial industry and will be responsible for leading the seamless transition of critical applications from on-premises environments to cloud-based solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, regulatory compliance, and a proven track record of successful application deployments.
Key Responsibilities: Migration Strategy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop comprehensive migration strategies that ensure the successful transition of applications from on-premises to cloud environments while meeting regulatory compliance standards.
Application Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of existing applications to determine their suitability for migration to the cloud. Identify potential risks, dependencies, and regulatory considerations that may impact the migration process.
Cloud Architecture Design: Design robust and scalable cloud architectures tailored to the specific needs of banking and finance applications. Ensure that the architecture meets security, compliance, and performance requirements.
Deployment Planning and Execution: Develop detailed deployment plans and timelines for migrating applications to the cloud. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute deployment activities efficiently and minimize downtime.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory requirements governing the banking and finance industry, particularly regarding data privacy, security, and reporting. Ensure that cloud deployments adhere to all relevant compliance standards, such as GDPR, PCI DSS, and Basel III.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with cloud migration and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively. Monitor deployment activities closely to mitigate any disruptions to business operations.
Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize the performance of cloud-based applications to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability. Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to detect and address performance issues in real-time.
Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation outlining the cloud deployment process, architecture, and best practices. Provide training and support to internal teams to facilitate the adoption of cloud technologies and processes.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud application deployment, with a focus on banking or finance industry solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of regulatory reporting requirements in the banking and finance sector.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools for deployment and configuration management (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) preferred.
