Job Responsibilities:
- Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
- Build and refine applications using various programming languages and tools and collaborate with the team to deliver integrated and high-performing software solutions.
- May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
- This position is fully on-site as the systems used are air-gapped.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in software development, with programming languages such as Python, Pandas, and PyTorch, and experience with Machine Learning.
- Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering, specializing in Software Engineering.
- Proven experience in writing, updating, and maintaining efficient, testable, and well-documented code to handle specific jobs such as data handling (CRUD), executing workflows, or executing custom business rules.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a penchant for teamwork.
- Minimum Interim Secret clearance; client approval required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Secret clearance strongly preferred.
- Data Science and/or big data experience.
- Familiarity with Spark, SQL, Seaborn, Matplotlib, Plotly, and Dash.
- SQL and GUI project experience, along withdatabase development.
- Experience working in large data environments with HPC systems to effectively manage and manipulate large datasets.
