Pinoleville Pomo Nation is seeking a dedicated Social Service Clerk to play a vital role in our social service department. The Social Service Clerk will assist in coordinating and facilitating services that promote the stability and success of tribal families and children. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a desire to make a positive impact within our community.


The Social Service Clerk will assist in the development of the Tribally Approved Homes Program. This includes setting up the processes for licensing, conducting home assessments, and regulating foster and adoptive homes. It is vital that our children 0-18 years old are kept within our community and given the services they need during a difficult time in their life. Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Tribally Approved Homes Program, including data entry, record maintenance, and filing.
  • Communicate effectively with tribal citizens, families, and external stakeholders in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Help maintain accurate client records and documentation in compliance with tribal and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; additional education or training in social work or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • An understanding of Tribal communities and cultural values including beliefs, history, and family systems.
  • Previous experience in a social service clerk administrative role, preferably in a Tribal program or social service setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Pass an FBI Live scan background screening.
