Job Description: Job Summary: The Behavior Technician implements positive programming to increase students behavioral and academic skills. See attached full job description for details. Qualifications: Advanced degree from an accredited college preferred, or successfully pass parapro exam Knows and understands district and behavior services policies and procedures Is knowledgeable in a variety of group and individual behavior management systems and character education programs PMT trained, understanding crisis prevention and verbal intervention/de-escalation techniques Knows and understands how to document interventions appropriately using all state/district forms (preferred) Certifications: Registered Behavior Technician Credential must be obtained within 100 days of employment. Terms of Employment: 10 months, 186 work days. Starting pay in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement is $21.00 per hour with comprehensive medical benefit package and tuition reimbursement.
