SMT Repair Engineer Technician with Security Clearance

Your Impact: This is a challenging and rewarding position with a mission to support the manufacturing of air and space-based RF systems in our Rapid Solutions Manufacturing Group of Jacobs. This opportunity involves working closely with Management, Engineering and Manufacturing team to build prototypes, support New Product Integration (NPI) and productions builds Responsibilities: Read and interpret industry standards, engineering drawings and specifications for circuit board assemblies. Apply understanding of manufacturing processes for circuit assemblies and soldering criteria. Review Engineering documentation, manufacturing travelers, and work instructions. Solder to J-STD-001 Class II and III. Perform rework/repair to IPC 7711 & 7721 standards on circuit boards. Remove, repair, and reapply components on heavy ground plane boards. Solder SMT components down to an 0201-package size or smaller. Rework soldering with circuit board thickness of 0.015" through 0.120" (or thicker). Rework BTC devices (QFN, DFN, LGA ETC.). Follow proper methods used to solder wire and cut bare board traces. Create procedures to complete complex board repairs. Help and mentor other technicians with challenging tasks. Create AirVac DRS27 machine profiles and document procedures. Use DAGE 5 X-Ray machine and understand board layout. Maintain close communication with Management to meet project schedules. Work independently with limited supervision. Function in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Here's what you'll need: Experience with Surface Mount Technology Manufacturing with emphasis on process development for board assembly repairs. Preferred: Bachelor's degree on Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related degree. Associates degree on Electronics or 15 years of Surface Mount Technology Manufacturing with emphasis on process development for board assembly repairs. Certification in IPC-A- 600 Acceptability of Printed Boards Endorsement Program. Certification in IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies. Certification in IPC WHMA-A-620 w/space addendum. Certification in J-STD-001 w/space addendum. Certification in NASA-STD-8739.1. Top Secret clearance. Knowledgeable on SMT machine programing used during manufacturing like pick and place machines, reflow ovens, solder paste printers, AOI, SPI, de-paneling machines and boards cleaning systems.
