Controls or operates machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery. RESPONSIBILITIES Primary responsibilities and accountabilities of the job: Documents work according to standards Follows written and verbal direction Summarizes observations and activities both verbally and in writing when appropriate Learns and executes basic job operations Learns and utilizes all forms, records, and reports to assure compliance with internal and external requirements Learns relevant policies and procedures and applies them to the job Learns basic departmental function and deliverables Demonstrates basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and working with fractions Accept and support decisions Works well with others Able to learn and perform basic trouble shooting skills Acknowledges and learns to build on the ideas and contributions of others Executes job responsibilities consistently Respects diverse opinions Respects confidentiality Accepts responsibility for personal actions Enthusiastic about self development and learning Completes all training prior to execution of activity Follows company policy Reads, understands and follows the Safety and Environmental cautions provided with the Batch Production record, MSDS or other safety and environmental guidance Understands and follows the departmental expectations regarding attendance, accountability and communication with supervision REQUIREMENTS Prior chemical manufacturing experience is preferred High School diploma or equivalent Valid Driver's License Required Physical Requirements Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance on a routine basis Able to ascend/descend stairs. Able to enter confined space for internal inspection. Able to work in a high noise/high temperature environment. Able to use stairs and ladders to perform some tasks. Able to use hand tools for some operations and basic repairs Working Conditions Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, days and nights. Hazardous conditions involving the use of acids, caustics, other hazardous chemicals, and potential allergens.
