Weekend Warrior Registered Nurse (RN) - Exceptional Care and Leadership Opportunity
Starting hourly pay at $35
Monday through Friday with on call weekend rotation.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position has 24-hour accountability and is responsible for the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care while achieving positive clinical outcomes, and patient/family and employee satisfaction. He/she is responsible for the overall operations, integration, coordination and direction of nursing and patient care for the assigned Unit. Additionally, he/she is responsible for ensuring that care delivery is consistent with the mission, vision, values and policies of Recover-Care HealthCare and in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements. This includes mentoring and educating nurses, working with physicians and other medical professionals, and serving as a resource to all staff within the unit regarding the quality of services provided. This professional may also provide direct patient care along with the other nurses to maintain current skills. .
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you must have:
- Educational Background: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Associate Degree in Nursing, 3 years of nursing experience.
• Diploma, 3 years of nursing experience.
- Leadership Skills: Possess strong leadership abilities and a willingness to collaborate with both professional and nonprofessional personnel.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical:
- Complete all required Registered Nurse (RN) record-keeping forms and charts during a resident's admission, discharge, transfer, and other important events. Ensure that these records are appropriately filed in the resident's chart and/or forwarded to the relevant department.
- Prepare and administer medications as prescribed by the physician.
- Facilitate the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents, including making necessary arrangements for transportation and packing.
- Administer professional services, including but not limited to catheterization, tube feeding, suction, wound care, specimen collection, and other medical procedures as outlined by the facility's policies and procedures.
- Audit labs for orders coming in that they were reviewed, and noted.
- Audit and update care plans to make sure it matches admission orders
- Responsible for tracking immunizations of residents.
Supervision:
- Collaborate with the facility's consultants as required and implement recommended changes under the guidance of the Director of Nursing (DON).
- Exchange nursing reports at the beginning and end of your shift duty hours.
- Conduct daily checks on all residents to ensure that prescribed treatments are administered correctly by nursing personnel/assistants and to assess their physical and emotional well-being.
- Keep the DON informed about the status of residents, staff, and related matters.
