YWCA is looking for full-time Site Supervisor, who is an internal part of our team.

Location: Penn Manor School District

Hours: This position is a split shift of 615am-9am, 1pm-6pm Monday-Friday

What your day looks like:
  • Perform primary job responsibilities.
  • Always maintain ratio and supervision of students.
  • Follow DHS expectations of appropriate supervision and interactions with students.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the room and facilities, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing all surfaces and toys.
  • Plan and execute developmentally appropriate activities for the children based on the PA Academic Standards.
  • Submit monthly electronic attendance to billing personnel and notify program director and site coordinator by close of business on the last day of the month.
  • Utilize appropriate behavior management techniques with children.
  • Build behavior plans with staff and parents as needed.
  • Ensure that all name-to-face cards are generated, using YWCA approved branding, for each child by the end of the first week of school or first week of care. Ensure usage of name- to face cards per supervision policy.
  • Work with parents and school personnel to ensure cooperative relationships between the YWCA, Penn Manor School District and School District of Lancaster.
  • Ensure that snacks and any supplies for site are replenished.
  • Attend training sessions and maintain a current PDR in accordance with Keystone Stars requirements.
  • Adhere to all DHS guidelines.
  • Submit weekly paperwork by Monday at 10:00 am.
  • Assist with registration nights for Camp and School Year, as assigned.
  • Ensure that all children's observations and assessments are completed by timeline given by program administration.
  • Ensure the fire drills are completed each month.
  • Responsible for transportation and completion of all paperwork to and from the sites.
  • Follow bus/van rules when traveling with students. Assist children with entrance and departure of vehicles if necessary.
  • Be first contact with parents on site. Keep parents informed of events and behavior problems.
  • Practice flexibility regarding staffing needs.
  • Work cooperatively with SACC staff and other YWCA personnel.
  • Participate in two YWCA Staff Professional Development Days.
  • Adhere to YWCA Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in at least one mission related activity every year.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Who you are:
  • SACC Credential or AA required. BA/BS degree in Early Childhood Education., Child Development, Special Ed., Elementary Ed., or human services field; or a BA/BS degree which includes 30 credits in a related field preferred. 2500 documented hours of experience related to the care of children - required.
  • Must provide documentation of one of the following: 30 college credit hours in the social sciences or education, or 15 college credit hours in education and one (1) year professional experience working with children.
  • SACC Credential, and one (1) year professional experience working with children (1,250 hours)
  • High School diploma and two (2) years professional experience working with children (2,500 hours)
  • Respect for children, parents, and family living situations, as well as the belief in the individuality of each child
  • As a representative of the YWCA, you are to adhere to and always support the Mission of the YWCA.
  • Written certification of the PA Police Criminal Record Clearance and Department of Public Welfare Child Abuse Clearance
  • Health appraisal and TB test
  • First Aid, CPR, Fire Safety
  • 24 hours of professional development per year.
