How this Role ties into Our Mission: As a Figurehead/Editor, your role is pivotal in embodying our mission to empower and connect entrepreneurs through strategic and accessible resources. By being the face of our video content, you serve as a direct representation of our brand values and commitment to supporting entrepreneurs. Recording two videos every other day ensures a consistent and reliable presence, allowing entrepreneurs to access valuable insights and resources on a regular basis. Your responsibility for editing the final form of the video is crucial in delivering polished and professional content that effectively communicates key messages. NOTE: Use of AI to write responses in your application will disqualify it from consideration. Qualifications: MUST be a CURRENT undergraduate University student within the United States Respond to messaging/emails within 24 hours Write & speak professional/native level English language Previous experience in public speaking, with a strong on-screen presence and ability to engage audiences. Proficiency in video recording equipment and techniques, including lighting, sound, and framing, to ensure high-quality video production. Proven skills in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools, with the ability to edit footage, add graphics, and enhance overall visual appeal. Excellent attention to detail, particularly in proofreading and grammar, to ensure the accuracy and professionalism of video content. Strong time management and organizational skills, capable of meeting deadlines and managing multiple video projects simultaneously. Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas for video content that align with our mission and resonate with our target audience of entrepreneurs.) What We Need: We have a vision, we have a platform, but we need events to connect everyone together. Business reaches every single industry and profession in the world, and that means there are an infinite amount of questions to answer and lessons to teach. As a Figurehead/Editor, you will: Report directly to the Short Form Video Manager, ensuring alignment with overall content strategy and brand guidelines. Work with Ideator to create videos that are in areas of interest for Pitch Labs. Take on the responsibility of recording two videos every other day (or 7/week), serving as the face and voice of our content to engage and connect with our audience of entrepreneurs. Assume control over the editing process, meticulously refining the final form of the video to ensure it meets our quality standards and effectively communicates key messages. Conduct thorough checks for grammatical errors, ensuring that the content maintains professionalism and clarity. Trim video footage as necessary to enhance pacing and maintain audience engagement throughout the video. Implement internal video edits as required, such as adding graphics, transitions, or other visual enhancements to optimize viewer experience. Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities: Reporting to the Short-Form Video Manager, you are responsible for recording 1 video every day and editing final form of video, checking grammatical errors/trimming video/making internal video edits and the like. Collaborate with Short-Form Video Manager on past videos, good reach or areas of improvement. Time Commitment: THIS IS AN UNPAID, REMOTE VOLUNTEER POSITION. Therefore we are extremely flexible with time and just ask that you contribute what you can. If you have exams, work, or family events come up, you are more than able to take a break. During times when you are an active volunteer, we ask that you simply contribute at least 3-5 hours a week (ideally for at least 6 months). This is a great position for students in school or university who want to go into a career field but want to learn more about it; you will be able to dive deeper than you have ever done before.
