Sayres is seeking a Shipyard Production Test Analyst to on site at waterfront supporting the PMS 300/325 program located in Houma, LA. Responsibilities In support of the PMS 300/325 program, the Shipyard Production Test Engineer will be responsible for the following: Support the Program Manager's Representative with production management and technical analysis of ship construction, tests, and integration processes.
Provide oversight onboard the ship by monitoring the production progress and interfacing with shipyard production and test personnel regarding Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) issues.
The duties would include the universe of testing such as reviewing test procedure submittals and redlines, monitoring the test sequence and validating pre-requisites, witnessing tests, documenting test results, managing resolution of deficiencies, creating metrics related to test progress, performing milestone readiness assessments, and acting as a technical lead for sea trials.
Qualifications & Clearance Requirements Minimum Skill Sets of Qualified Candidates High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to obtain Secret Clearance. Preferred Skill Sets of Qualified Candidates Bachelor's degree (no specified field).
Ten (10) or more years of shipbuilding industry experience.
Familiarity with surface ship design and construction operations.
Experience with integration testing and trials, including deficiency management, corrective action tracking, and engineering change management processes.
Knowledge of ship delivery processes, post-delivery work package development, and Post Shakedown Availability (PSA) planning and execution.
Technical and production deficiency management experience.
Active Secret security clearance verifiable in DISS.
