Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Some overtime required)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory transactions, coordinating cycle counting activities, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data. This position requires a strong understanding of inventory practices, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Properly transact inventory to appropriate account numbers and ensure accurate documentation of all material transactions.
- Coordinate and execute cycle counting activities to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Maintain data integrity by promptly reporting errors and discrepancies to the shipping supervisor for transaction updates.
- Safely operate material handling equipment, including hand trucks and tow motors, while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the immediate work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Follow manufacturing job orders and related documents to accurately disburse and receive materials.
- Utilize both manual records and computerized systems to record all material transactions accurately.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs consistently over an 8-hour shift.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory management or related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using inventory software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work overtime and perform other duties as required.
