Shared Data Platforms Solution Architect

Role Overview: The Solution Architect - Data Platforms is a pivotal member of our IT group, focusing on the architecture of shared data platforms. They will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to design and maintain solution architectures aligned with business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning:

• Provide strategic leadership in technology transformation activities.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, particularly those relevant to data platforms.
• Communicate solution architectures effectively across various teams.
• Mentor and support system development teams in implementing architectural standards.
• Research and recommend emerging design patterns and industry best practices.

Acquisition & Deployment:

• Possess strong functional knowledge of Product Information Management and Cloud Application Development.
• Design interfaces for Cloud Integration.
• Lead technology life-cycle projects, including evaluation, selection, implementation, and support.
• Evaluate alternative architectures and make recommendations.
• Develop prototypes of system designs in collaboration with Technical Architects.

Operational Management:

• Contribute to the creation of enterprise-wide technology standards.
• Document architectural designs and standards.
• Create and maintain reference architectures and systems models.
• Validate architecture compliance and enforce system standards.
• Provide guidance to team members and assist with large-scale projects.

Incidental Functions:

• Conduct research into new technologies.
• Deliver presentations to management, clients, and peer groups.
• Participate in project and communication meetings with clients.
• Support hiring activities and ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity policies.

Qualifications:

Formal Education & Certification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Knowledge & Experience:

• 10+ years of IT experience.
• Strong experience with ERP application implementation and support.
• Proficiency in designing middle-tier and distributed systems.
• Experience with Master Data Management, Metadata, and Data Warehouse Architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud and Oracle Master Data Management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud orchestrations/interfaces.
• Oracle Certification on cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile development environments.
