Duties Serves as the Wing/Brigade (BDE) Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Coordinator for the military, civilians, and dependents. Providing 24/7 in-person and telephonic response, Under the supervision of the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Officer (State SAPR). Serves as the Wing/BDE Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Coordinator (SARC) to comply with Department of Defense (DOD) and National Guard Bureau (NGB) requirements to institute and administer secondary prevention and support programs and activities for sexual assault and other areas of interpersonal violence and victim needs as directed by the Wing/BDE CDR. Establishes sexual assault reporting process and accomplishes documentation for the Wing/BDE program while coordinating and collaborating with the State SAPR and subsidiary Wing/BDE's within the State. Advises and provides direction to Wing/BDE personnel regarding SAPR policy, guidance, requirements, and processes. Serves as the Wing/BDE CDR's consultant and coordinator for sexual assault secondary prevention activities involving the institutionalization of respect and the Air/Army core values throughout the spectrum of human relations activities. Develops Wing/BDE plans (to include spend plan routed to the State SAPR for approval), programs, and guidelines. Assesses the Wing/BDE need for the creation and/or modification of processes, procedures, contacts, and training necessary to carry out the program and meet DOD and NGB objectives. Assessments include consideration of complicating factors at the Wing/BDE to develop processes, procedures, and training that is effective for all parties. Implements secondary prevention programs relating to sexual assault. Assists individual commanders with addressing behaviors that lead to sexual assault through a comprehensive education and awareness program. Builds and maintains a Wing/BDE response and victim support system which addresses a wide variety of issues and problems. Partners with the Wing/JFHQ Director of Psychological Health (DPH) and/or Behavioral Health Officer (BHO) to address intimate partner violence. Interacts with Equal Opportunity personnel and/or State Equal Employment Manager (SEEM) to address unlawful discrimination and sexual harassment. Establish contacts and relationships that directly affect victim care that may include, but not limited to: State SAPR PM, subsidiary Wing/BDE SARCs, to include Alt SARCs, VAs, Special Victim Council (SVC), Chaplains, Director of Psychological Health (DPH), Behavioral Health Officer (BHO), Surgeon General's Office, Provost Marshall, Staff Judge Advocate (SJA), Equal Opportunity personnel, and First Sergeants. Serves as the Wing/BDE CDR consultant on sexual assault prevention, response concerns, and trends and representative involving all sexual assault issues on committees, working groups, conferences, and community meetings which may include being a liaison with the community sexual assault response team (SART). Has direct and unimpeded access to the Wing/BDE CDR for the purposes of these responsibilities. IAW NGB SAPR Division Instructions informs and presents the Wing/BDE CDR and State SAPR PM with the health of the force data by identifying issues, status of program, areas needing improvement, case management, Wing/BDE climate, and other appropriate information. Serves as an alternate member on the Commander's Ready and Resilient Council (CR2C) or other equivalent council as requested. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. Required to obtain and maintain receive the DoD mandated Defense Sexual Assault Advocate Credentialing Program (D-SAACP) certification and maintain certification through meeting annual continuing education training requirements. Qualifications SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must have1 year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education or training analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various social science resources. Must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures. Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of social science program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions. Must possess an understanding of military rank structure and military processes. Education Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences. or Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences. or Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
