SETA Satellite Systems Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a TS/SCI cleared Systems Engineer to support the Geosynchronous Space Situational Awareness Program Office within the Space Systems Command's Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power Program Executive Office in El Segundo, California. The Satellite Systems Engineer will be responsible for providing expert advice to senior Government leadership regarding technical and programmatic strategies to operate, sustain, and upgrade an existing Ground Segment for a space system. Scope of Engineering: Advisory (SETA) Responsibilities: Perform activities to develop and implement an advanced Ground Segment, including: CONOPs, requirements definition, analysis, and engineering, systems architecting, systems analysis, systems design, development of interface and data architecture, validation & verification, systems integration, system and network performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis and estimation, decision analysis, and configuration analysis
Interface with stakeholders including Program Managers, Contracting Officers, Systems Engineers, and external organizations
Coordinate with external programs and agencies that interface with the GSSAP Ground Segment to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance
Coordinate within GSSAP Space Segment and Advanced Concepts integrated program teams to ensure all space vehicle and future capabilities are fully realized and available to the warfighter
Support On-Orbit Checkout and Verification of new Space Vehicles when they are launched
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of relevant experience in program management, systems engineering, and or software systems engineering
Must have an active TS/SCI clearance and must be willing to be nominated for Special Access Programs access
Experience with GSSAP or related satellite efforts
Experience with major weapon systems acquisitions, Space Control mission area, or related efforts
Compensation with Available Labor Categories: Bachelor's with 7 years of experience: $150,000 - $175,000
Bachelor's with 9 years of experience : $175,000 - $180,000
