Role Summary

MetaPhase is seeking a ServiceNow Advisor/SME with a minimum of 10 years of overall IT experience to be a part of a team supporting our client at the US Department of the Treasury to transform their business and solve complex problems leveraging ServiceNow. You will be stepping into a growing team where you can leverage your expertise in ServiceNow to advise the client on their implementation across a wide range of functions. As a technical leader, you will establish yourself as a Subject Matter Expert and liaison among clients (current and future), business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders. The ServiceNow Advisor/SME will oversee projects from an architecture design perspective through implementation, providing leadership and advocacy, as well as providing some hands-on support as needed and assisting in troubleshooting/problem solving.

The ServiceNow Advisor/SME will provide technical expertise on a range of ServiceNow efforts from ongoing O&M projects to enterprise business transformation planning and implementation efforts. In transformation efforts, you will be working with project teams to understand our clients' business transformation objectives and translate client needs into specific technical requirements, and defining a ServiceNow solution to meet those requirements. You will be client-facing, collaborating with team members to develop and implement these requirements through ServiceNow - making ServiceNow architectural decisions, setting technical standards, matching solutions to business problems and helping our clients get the most from their ServiceNow investment.

This role requires strong ServiceNow expertise in order to guide the client, and flexibility to support several engagements at any given time.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Attend senior management-level and stakeholders meetings to obtain business requirements, offer solutions, and serve as expert on ServiceNow tool capabilities.
  • Lead technical discussions around ServiceNow solution design, and architecture on larger development efforts such as integrations or new module implementations or customizations.
  • Provide and ensure adherence to development guidelines as it relates to security, performance, re-usability, scalability and stability, code reviews, and API usage.
  • Collaborate with teams and clients to develop and maintain technical roadmap for ServiceNow platform that aligns with customer transformation objectives and balances technical and business needs.
  • Serve as a lead and mentor for team members supporting ServiceNow projects and looking to grow their ServiceNow skills; and support recruiting team when interviewing ServiceNow resources.
  • Create and modify reports and dashboards and recommend/implement process improvements.
  • Conduct UAT for product related sprints (new functionality, fixes, and modifications).
  • Create artifacts, roadmaps, and presentations related to ServiceNow implementation and plans.
  • Assist and train stakeholders/users on ServiceNow related issues and/or functionality.
  • Advise on ServiceNow capabilities and functionality (current and future).
  • Translate business requirements into Jira stories for sprint inclusion or backlog.
  • Work on new capabilities/functionality that could benefit or improve efficiency for current applications and users, i.e. Visual Task Boards.
  • Develop and utilize deep platform knowledge and expertise in:
    • Workflow Configuration
    • Application UI Configuration
    • Development of client specific reporting and integration requirements
    • Be accountable to ensure practice deliverables to customers are complete, consistent, of high quality, on time and deliver benefits
    • Ability to coach and mentor
    • Maintain career development, education, and certification commensurate with the requirements of the practice strategy

What We Need From You (Required)
    • 10+ years of overall IT experience and 6+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Enterprise Architect and/or ServiceNow Developer.
    • Experience working ServiceNow Cloud Platform solutions integrating with other Cloud Applications and Data Sources.
    • Ability to integrate in client team and advise on functionality from a big-picture perspective.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) around all key technical decisions.
    • Hold ServiceNow certifications including Certified System Administrator and Certified Application Developer, Certified Technical Architect.
    • Experience with ServiceNow System Architecture - Plugins, Table Structure, Application Scoping, UI Policies, Advanced Scripts, Best Practices.
    • Experience configuring and implementing ServiceNow core applications - users, groups, skills and roles, assignment rules, CMDB catalog items and record producers, service portal branding.
    • Proactive and self-starter mindset in order to ramp up quickly in dynamic client environment.

Bonus Points (Desired)
    • Project manager and/or Scrum Master experience or certifications.
    • Financial/analytical expertise to demonstrate ROI for stakeholders in conjunction with ServiceNow data.
