Job Details

We are seeking 4 highly skilled and experienced Permanent Service Technicians to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing various types of machinery and equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly and efficiently. The ideal candidates should have a strong background in mechanics, particularly in the automotive and refrigeration sectors. Responsibilities:

• Carry out regular maintenance and repairs on a wide range of construction machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems quickly and accurately.
• Install and set up new machinery and equipment, ensuring that they are in perfect working condition.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
• Comply with all safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Keep accurate records of all service, repair, and maintenance work done.
• Ensure that all machinery and equipment meet industry standards and regulations.
• Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to source parts and equipment.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to keep up with technological advancements in the field.

Qualifications:

• Vocational training in mechanics or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a service technician, mechanic, or similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
• Experience with automotive and refrigeration mechanics is a significant advantage.
• Strong understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical condition and stamina, as the role involves lifting heavy objects and working in challenging conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development.
• A commitment to safety and quality at all times.

Some overtime and weekends required.
Must have valid driver's license, an acceptable driving record and must be insurable by our auto insurance provider.
