Pay Range: $32.00 - $40.00 hr

Our Service Technician IV is responsible for the following:

1. Assembles and services all types of equipment, established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products, and other merchandise offered for sale by the dealership
2. Operates and maintains vehicles, tools, and equipment required in the set-up and delivery process.
3. Participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
4. Participation in on-call program
5. Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties
6. Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
7. Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments

1. Maintains current product knowledge of all equipment, parts, and services available to customer accounts.

1. Never operate any equipment you are not properly trained on and have not inspected prior to using: for example but not limited to vehicles, tractors, forklifts, mowers, drill press, grinder, hydraulic press, welders, and other general equipment.

1. Other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:

1. 4 - 7 years experience (or equivalent) performing service repairs.

1. Knowledge of John Deere and competitive equipment, as well as technology trends/advancements, is a plus.

1. Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
2. Ability to maintain labor performance and billable hours according to Service Leaders.
3. Sound knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, air-conditioning, and electrical systems as they apply to machines marketed by the Dealership.
