Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assist in the maintenance of refractory systems.
  • Participate in tundish installations by tracking materials installed, monitoring tundish deskulling and preparing installation logs.
  • Maintain and to ensure the tundish spraying equipment is in good working condition.
  • Monitor refractory inventories.
  • Actively follow and support established employee safety program.
  • Schedule and plan refractory maintenance outages.
  • Track refractory performance.
  • Monitor refractory performance and report to the team or customer.
  • Interact with customers to determine their immediate and long-term refractory requirements.
  • Schedule refractory delivery.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills Needed:

College degree preferred. Effective verbal communication skills, a proven ability to "multi-task", and the ability to work and interact with others at different internal and external organizational levels. Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook is required. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours, overtime and at time be responsive 24/7.
