Description C&C Boiler Sales and Service, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician Apprentice to join our team. We specialize in power plant, heating, mechanical contracting, and industrial products including packaged boilers, industrial burners, heat exchangers, and other boiler plant equipment for various applications. C&C Boiler provides new product sales, service, parts, technical support, testing, and training throughout Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Complete assigned training in a timely manner Assist a Lead Technician in completing daily tasks such as: Perform annual maintenance inspections Troubleshoot and repair burners, all manufactures Install new low-emissions burners Retrofit boiler controls, including PLC, microprocessor, and instrumentation component/systems Commission, troubleshoot and adjust combustion on a variety of burners and boilers Document parts required for replacement & repair and provide detailed written documentation outlining services rendered Request materials needed to complete tasks within company guidelines and budgets Drive to multiple locations and transport materials to and from specific destinations (vehicle provided) Occasional overtime, nights, weekends, or holidays as needed Submit electronic paperwork daily Job Benefits Hourly Position Compensation Range: $40,000-$70,000 DOE, including overtime compensation 401(k) Plan with 100% vested, 4% Safe Harbor Match: First 3% of deferral matched 100% and the second 2% of deferral is matched at 50% for a total available match of 4% Company-sponsored insurance plan: Medical - Dental - Vision Paid Time Off: 80 hours (2 weeks) Paid Holidays: 7 Fuel Card Per Diem for out-of-town stays Company Cell Phone $1,000 Sign-On Bonus upon completion of the BRE training course Requirements Requirements Continuing education / OSHA safety training requirements / 10 Panel drug screen Electrical and mechanical experience is a plus, preferably in an industrial environment Completion of an industrial certification course from a Technical School is a plus Lubrication, pneumatics, piping/plumbing repair, HVAC fundamentals, belt replacement, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting Strong verbal and written communication skills; write routine reports and correspondence Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment Proficient use of technology, computers, and software including Microsoft Office suite of products Valid Driver's License required. Must be insurable with no major infractions Job requires daily verbal, written, and electronic communication You must always demonstrate excellent customer service skills
