Senior Writer/Editor with Security Clearance

Azimuth Corporation is seeking a talented Senior Writer/Editor to join our Dahlgren, VA team in support of a government customer. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the creative teams and other technical departments to ensure all documents meet established organizational and industry standards. This position is contingent upon contract award. Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following: Use journalistic style, write, edit, proofread, and copyedit a variety of documents, press releases, news stories, news features, mission features, human interest features, magazines, social media content, and science articles. Collaborate with staff to plan and prepare written content for the distribution both internally and externally to the public. Assist in the development and writing of an annual strategic communications plan to include research, data collection, metrics, and in-depth knowledge of communications strategy and execution. Research, develop, investigate, and write a variety of science-related and human-interest news and feature stories. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Public Affairs, or related degree (experience in lieu of a degree may be considered) 6 years of experience writing for the military (R&D or testing environment) Active Secret Security Clearance Desired Qualifications Navy experience Company Overview Azimuth is an award-winning Woman Owned Small Business specializing in providing research and development and professional services support to the federal government.
