JOB SUMMARY The role of the Senior VDC Engineer is to implement Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) technologies for pre-construction and construction activities on Lendlease projects. Under minimal supervision, the Senior VDC Engineer will assist team members using 3D software and processes generally on one large project or multiple small projects at a time. The Senior VDC Engineer may work with project teams in both an office and project site environment. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Actively drives a 'Safety First' culture and takes personal accountability for managing safety and sustainability in all activities. Understands relevant wellbeing, safety and sustainability policies and ensures compliance with these in all activities. Is responsible for the production, revisioning, and submittal of logistics and/or Site Safety Plans for approval by client or government agencies. Generates 3D and 4D models for business development, marketing, pre-construction and construction. Collects and integrates BIMs from all project team parties, run clash detection reports, resolve conflicts through working with team members, and maintain issue logs. Incorporates and assists with determining constructability and construction means and methods into BIMs. Utilizes, enforces and incorporates company VDC standards on projects. Utilizes model data to coordinate multiple disciplines on projects. Leads VDC/BIM "Big Room" meetings. Collaborates and communicates with other Technical Services departments to deliver and manage BIM data. May instruct others on projects or assignments, without management responsibility for Lendlease employees. Assists project teams by providing and formatting information from BIMs throughout the duration of a building project. Records, analyzes and reports project metrics and gathers case study data. Develops and maintains technical knowledge. Assists VDC Technical Managers, Integration Managers, and/or Directors with case studies and presentations on VDC for internal and external education and promotion. Manage file exchange server. Assist VDC Managers with training Operational project staff on VDC/BIM. GENERAL BACKGROUND AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 3 - 6 years of VDC related design and/or construction experience with demonstrated progression of technical knowledge and responsibilities. Highly proficient in Revit modeling and familiar with AutoCAD. Proficient in 3D parametric modeling software; experience in rendering and animation software a plus Advanced capability in Navisworks Manage, clash detection, and model coordination Proven ability to determine and incorporate construction detailing and techniques Ability to plan, prioritize, organize and manage responsibilities on multiple projects 4-year degree in an accredited industry related curriculum, or experience equivalent to a 4-year degree Base Salary Range: $111,000 - $141,000 The above salary range represents Lendlease's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards Lendlease provides to employees. The base compensation amount offered to a successful candidate will be decided based on a range of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skillset, and education level.
