The Anduril Product Design team designs for multiple form factors across Anduril's suite of products. We are changing the way our military works - from strategic commanders overseeing multiple missions, to forward-deployed operators controlling autonomous systems. As a UX Researcher, you drive strategy for understanding needs, attitudes, expectations, and behaviors of the people who use Anduril's products. Insights from your work will directly inform product roadmaps. You will have an immediate impact on real-world operations as you collaborate with design, product, and engineering to push the bounds of human-to-machine command, control, and planning. From customer immersion to synthesizing feedback, cross-org collaboration to shipping high craft experiences, you will leverage your expertise to help solve challenging problems in complex warfighter scenarios.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Contribute to the overall direction and decision-making for product and design strategy.
  • Drive primary research such as field studies, interviews, workshops, surveys, and usability testing.
  • Use storytelling to inspire and align partners and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and drive forward ideas and recommendations to improve product based off of actionable research insights.
  • Play an influential role in shaping the end-to-end experiences for critical operator workflows.
  • Help to shape the UX research best practices at Anduril as a key member of the centralized product and design function.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in the Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant user research experience working on digital products. Can demonstrate delivered impact based on actionable insights derived from mixed-method studies.
  • Extensive knowledge in designing, planning, and executing research studies with clear objectives, goals, and timelines.
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating research and insights which influenced both tactical and strategic level work.
  • No prior defense experience necessary.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Can effectively lead discovery workshops with cross functional stakeholders.
  • Familiarity leading the definition and execution of research in a fast-paced start-up environment. Able to draw from a toolbox of tactics to integrate research into existing product roadmaps.
  • Opinionated about research operations and efforts to increase efficiency and improve decision making.
  • Demonstrated proactiveness in helping to shape team culture and mentorship participation.
