Senior UAS Pilot with Security Clearance

JOB TITLE: SENIOR UAV PILOT DEPARTMENT: FLIGHT OPERATIONS REPORTS TO: FLIGHT OPERATIONS MANAGER CLASSIFICATION: EXEMPT Job Summary: Oversee the ground and flight operations of an Unmanned Aircraft System during stateside testing and overseas operations. Function as customer interface in operational environments. Duties/Responsibilities: Perform flight operation planning in support of customer-driven requirements.
Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety checks.
Remote pilot a UAS, following a specific flight plan or modifying flight plans to meet mission objectives.
Assist flight operation planning and authority to operate in support of customer-driven requirements.
Support flight operations outside the continental United States for up to four (4) months at a time
Conduct flight demonstrations for customers at remote locations.
Assist team with training curriculum, documentation, and standardization efforts.
Troubleshoot equipment issues to maximize mission capable status.
Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations as applicable.
Perform other duties as necessary. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED certificate
Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
Completion of training or a degree in aviation, engineering, or a related field preferred
Up to 75% CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
Position is contingent on the ability to pass required flight and deployment physicals.
Comfortable operating a UAS in various weather and light conditions. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate from the FAA
Private Pilot License
Expert knowledge and extensive experience with Piccolo flight controllers
Experience in deployed UAS ISR operations.
